Heute am 11. Februar 2012 wurde mir um 12:22 Uhr beim WDR 2 Hören klar, dass der von Cat Stevens 1970 veröffentliche Song “Father & Son” eine Fortsetzung in Adeles “Someone Like You” gefunden hat.
WARUM?
Die in der vierten Strophe von Cat Stevens “Father & Son” gemachte Aufforderung des Vaters: “Find a girl, settle down”, findet ihre Fortsetzung in Adeles “Someone like you” in der ersten Zeile “I heard that you’re settled down, That you found a girl and you’re married now”.

Cat Stevens (* 21. Juli 1948 in London als Steven Demetre Georgiou) ist ein britisch–zypriotischer Sänger und Songwriter. Seit seiner Konversion zum Islam Ende 1977 heißt er Yusuf Islam, als Künstler nennt er sich Yusuf.
Der Sänger und Musiker beherrscht sowohl die Gitarre als auch Schlagzeug und Klavier. Sein Musikstil während seiner Schaffensphase als Cat Stevens und nach seinem Comeback als Yusuf kann am ehesten dem Folk- oder Softrock zugerechnet werden. Zu seinen bekanntesten Liedern zählen Matthew & Son (1966), Lady D’Arbanville(1970), Wild World (1971), Moonshadow (1971), Father and Son (1971) und Morning Has Broken (1971).
